Your expert tutor, Sian O’Doherty.
Sian teaches a range of machine knitting workshops at her lovely studio close to the Pembrokeshire Coast. Set on her smallholding near Saundersfoot, her converted barn is a haven of peace, light and space, an ideal environment for nurturing creativity and learning new skills. If further inspiration is required, the alpacas that share the small holding and contribute fibre to Sian’s range of yarn and knitted accessories will be on hand to provide encouragement!
Sian’s classes are taught in small groups, providing the ideal combination of individual tuition and camaraderie in your learning. The workshops are generally taught using standard gauge domestic knitting machines; tuition on her Industrial gauge Stoll knitting machine is also available on request.

Sian provides delicious homemade lunches using seasonal ingredients, locally sourced a great opportunity to get to know fellow students better as well as providing welcome sustenance for the rest of the day’s learning and practice. Lunch is usually vegan; if you have particular dietary requirements please get in touch so that these can be catered for.
The courses are run in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire with a wide range of activities on offer should you wish to extend your stay. There is a wealth of holiday accommodation in the area, from camping to glamping, bed and breakfast to boutique hotels. Public transport to the area runs daily via train and coach, and road links are very good.
