Learn the 24 Step Tai Chi Form (Modern 24)
A 6-Month Tai Chi Programme with Steve Whiddett
1–2pm | Wednesdays | 3 June – 11 November 2026
Revision sessions every four weeks running 2.30–3.30pm
We are delighted to introduce a deeply grounding Tai Chi course at Ash Farm, guided by experienced teacher Steve Whiddett.
This programme focuses on the 24 Step Tai Chi Form, also known as the Modern 24 or Beijing 24 Routine, one of the most widely practised Tai Chi sequences in the world. Developed to support health, balance and wellbeing, this elegant form is rooted in traditional Yang style and is recognised globally for its slow, flowing, meditative movements.
Over six months, you will be guided step by step through the full sequence in a calm and supportive environment. Each session builds gradually, allowing the movements to feel natural, embodied and unhurried.
Music is gently woven into the practice to support rhythm and flow, and you will receive training notes along with the music used in class to support your practice at home.
A Thoughtfully Structured Journey
This programme has been carefully designed to support confidence, consistency and enjoyment.
Rather than long gaps between revision, the course includes regular “double sessions” every four weeks, where a guided revision is built in. This means you will only ever be consolidating a few weeks of learning at a time, helping everything feel more manageable and integrated.
Each revision session:
• is included at no extra cost
• offers space to revisit and refine what you’ve learned
• supports confidence and continuity as you progress
There is a gentle 30 minute break between sessions on these weeks, giving you time to pause and reset.
You’re very welcome to visit the café during this time, refreshments and lunch are available to purchase if you wish.
