Three day dressmaking course- what a fabulous course this was, beautiful venue with food to die for. Sian you were the perfect hostess, nothing was too much trouble, you kept us warm with that lovely log fire, made sure there was coffee and drinks whenever we wanted plus the food you prepared was delicious particularly the puddings, so yummy. The course was all that I wanted it to be and I was so pleased with the dress I made and the fact I created a pattern which I can use again and again and make other creations too. I can thoroughly recommend both the venue and the course, thank you Sian and Helen. Xx

I booked this 3 day workshop to see if it would get me back into sewing as I haven’t done any sewing for years. I have never been able to make a dress that actually fits me. I was very nervous when I arrived but Helen and Sian made me feel so welcome that my nerves quickly disappeared. There were 4 of us ladies on the course, all at different levels. Helen had patience and nothing was too much trouble. She helped when we were unsure and explained everything in detail. Although, Lauren, Sue, Gina and myself had never met before we quickly became friends and helped each other if we were stuck. Sian made lunch every day and provided cakes for snacks. The food was different but it was devine to eat. I tasted food I’d never eaten before but ate every delicious morsel she served up. Sian is very knowledgeable about food, she is a very talented chef and shared some of her knowledge with us. I shall be going back to the cafe for more of her delicious dishes. At the end of the three days I had produced a beautiful denim dress that fitted me perfectly, I was so thrilled. I learned so many things from Helen and will not hesitate to go back for more courses. Many thanks to both Helen and Sian for making our course such a wonderful experience.

What an amazing stay at Ash farm! I attended the 3 day dressmaking course and stayed onsite in the beautiful Colby room, lovely, clean and bright room, had everything I needed for my stay. I arrived quite late and Mike met me at my car and helped me with my bags and showed me to my room which was lovely! Every morning the log burner was on in the studio which was nice and cosy! Sian delivered breakfast to my room every morning which was absolutely divine! Then we had lunch every day on the course in the beautiful cafe plus a sweet treat in the afternoon! Wow! The food was absolutely gorgeous! Sian doesn’t realise how talented she is! I will definitely be visiting again! Helen is a fantastic teacher she is very patient and teaches the skill so well in a way that’s so understandable! Met 3 lovely ladies and we all got on great! Can’t wait to attend another workshop again soon and to visit Ash Farm, such a relaxing calm place to chill xxxx

I had the enormous pleasure of attending Helen Rhiannon’s 3 day workshop at Ash Farm.
The studio is warm and comfortable with glorious views over the surrounding countryside. Sian is an amazing cook and produced delicious vegan lunches and afternoon treats! I will not be able to stay away from the cafe!
Helen is a gifted teacher. She has infinite patience, is helpful, kind and taught me so much more than I was expecting. The course was intensive but Helen has a lovely way of explaining the concepts so that I could fully understand it all.
I came away with a dress which fitted me, and am equipped to make more, met some lovely fellow sewers, ate some gorgeous food and had a great time. I cannot wait to go on another of Helen’s courses. Thank you Helen and Sian.

Such a fabulous 3 day workshop with Helen Rhiannon at Ash Farm. Helen is a wonderful teacher and works so hard to make sure every student understands and can execute each stage of drafting blocks to fit your body and then use that to design and make a dress that fits perfectly. The icing on the cake is Ash Farm and Sian Odoherty. The workshop space is bright, warm and clean with the most amazing views . Sian is a wonderful, bubbly generous woman who makes sure you feel welcomed, at home and full of her incredible food. Wow, what a talented chef she is. I can’t wait to return to Ash Farm for more, more, more! Thank you so much Helen and Sian
