November at Ash Farm | A Little Time for You
As the days grow shorter and the evenings draw in, there’s something rather lovely about this time of year at Ash Farm.
The warmth of the studio, the fire crackling, the smell of something delicious coming from the kitchen and those quieter moments that invite us to slow down a little.
Ash Farm has changed and grown over the years. What began with my love of textiles, making and the alpacas has gradually become a place where food, creativity, movement and wellbeing come together.
And although things have evolved, the heart of Ash Farm remains very much the same, good food, good company and a welcoming space to take a little time for yourself.
From the Ash Farm Kitchen
There’s always something being prepared, baked or experimented with in the Ash Farm kitchen.
Recently, it’s been the wonderful smell of carrots roasting in the oven, batches of homemade crackers and a little experimenting with freshly baked focaccia.
As we move into the colder months, I’m particularly drawn to warming, colourful food made with simple, seasonal ingredients.
Next week, roasted carrot hummus and homemade crackers will be making an appearance on our Thursday Kitchen menu. There’s something so satisfying about transforming a few humble ingredients into something really delicious.

And then there’s the focaccia!
I’ve been spending a little time working on my homemade focaccia, trying to achieve that lovely golden, crisp crust with a soft, airy centre.
It’s been a process of experimenting, adjusting and, of course, plenty of tasting!
That’s one of the things I love most about cooking, there’s always something new to learn and another recipe to perfect.

A Slower Thursday at Ash Farm
This autumn, we’ve embraced a slightly different rhythm in the café.
Our Thursday Kitchen is now a smaller, more relaxed way of welcoming you to Ash Farm, with homemade vegetarian food, seasonal dishes, good coffee and cakes.
We’re keeping things deliberately small, with pre-booked tables and a changing menu that allows us to cook thoughtfully, use seasonal ingredients and reduce food waste.
It means we can continue sharing the food we love making while creating a slower, more sustainable way of working.
And Thursdays are still very much a day for gathering, with our lovely Knit & Natter group continuing to bring familiar faces, conversation and creativity to the farm.
Thursday Kitchen | 10am–4pm | Pre-booking essential
Please remember that all visits, including coffee and cake, must be booked in advance.

Movement, Stillness & a Little Time for Yourself
As the seasons change, the Ash Farm studio becomes an especially lovely place to spend time.
Throughout November, we’re welcoming people for Pilates, yoga, strengthening classes and restorative experiences.
Some mornings begin bright and early with Naomi’s energising Strong Start sessions, while others offer a gentler pace with yoga, breathwork and moments of stillness.
We’ve also got some particularly lovely experiences planned, bringing together movement, relaxation, warmth and homemade food.
Whether you’re looking to build strength, find a little calm or simply enjoy an hour that’s entirely your own, there’s something rather special about stepping away from the busyness of everyday life.

Making, Creating & Coming Together
Creativity has always been at the heart of Ash Farm.
From my early days working with textiles to the workshops and gatherings we enjoy today, there’s something wonderful about bringing people together to learn, make and share ideas.
As Christmas approaches, we’re looking forward to more creative days in the studio, including festive willow weaving.
The pleasure of making something with your hands, enjoying homemade food and spending time in good company feels especially fitting at this time of year.
A Little Space to Pause
As we move towards the end of another year, I’m reminded how important these small moments can be.
A warming bowl of soup, freshly baked bread, an hour in the studio, a creative afternoon or simply time spent catching up with friends.
They’re the things that make Ash Farm what it is.
I hope you’ll find a little opportunity to slow down, enjoy the season and perhaps come and spend some time with us.
We’d love to welcome you to Ash Farm.
With love,
Sian xx
