In addition to all of the activity that you have seen here over the last nine months, Sian has been extra busy growing a new member of the family! Naomi was born on February 3rd, a thriving 9lbs, to a very happy Mum, Dad and big sister, Ava, who is relishing her role as second-in-command in the studio-nursery, keeping Naomi entertained and well topped up on cuddles.
Sian is still delighted to hear from you with requests for custom orders, etc. though the turn-around time may be a little longer than usual while her hands are busy with baby as well as knitting…

Sian is delighted with her new alpaca stuffed cushion pads that are now available to fill her range of eye-catching graphic knitted cushion covers. With the optimum amount of 100% pure alpaca stuffing for the perfect level of squish – “scientifically tested” by adults and children at Ash Farm – they will ensure these last days of winter are furnished with maximum cwtch. Demand for the alpaca pillows was high and the sales were fast and furious so we are giving subscribers first access to these before listing them in the shop. Use the contact form to register your interest in purchasing these for your home. The cushion pads are 18 x 18 inch and are £18 each and can be collected from studio by arrangement or posted to you.

Chocolate Mousse
“If I’m short of time – which I often am – but we need a sweet treat, I make this dessert and with so many variations of toppings possible it really doesn’t become boring or tiresome. This is the most simple of desserts to make and tastes so scrumptious no one will believe how quickly it can be pulled together in just a matter of minutes.
Let me know what you think – but I promise you, you wont be disappointed. I’d love to hear how you get on and which toppings you choose to finish off this dessert. Ava loves this and – with no word of a lie – it disappears in the blink of an eye!”
Ingredients:
– 300g block of Silken Tofu
– 2 heaped tablespoons of cacao powder
– 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
Method:
- Simply add all the ingredients in a food processor – or a bowl and hand blender would work equally well – and blend together until all ingredients are combined.
- Taste and adjust sweetness to your personal preference.
- Divide the mixture between small ramekins – this makes enough for 3-4 portions.
- Refrigerate until required (although we often can’t wait and eat immediately after blending!)
- Assemble the toppings just before serving and enjoy this super healthy, silky smooth and rich mousse.
Topping suggestions…
Chopped Almonds toasted and tossed in cinnamon.
Fresh raspberries with natural yogurt or coconut yoghurt.
Sprinkled with cacao nibs for added texture.
Fresh fruit – chopped banana, blueberries, strawberries … whatever is in season or at hand will be delicious.
The pictured chocolate mousse topped with a layer of chopped roasted salted almonds, mixed fresh berries and a pinch of warming ground cinnamon.
