We are delighted to introduce a new beginner-friendly Tai Chi course at Ash Farm with experienced teacher Steve Whiddett.
This thoughtfully paced 12-week course is designed as a gentle and achievable introduction to Tai Chi, guiding you through the complete 8 Step Tai Chi Routine in a calm, supportive and welcoming environment.
Based on the principles of the modern Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan, the 8 Step Routine was developed to offer an accessible pathway into Tai Chi practice while supporting balance, mobility, coordination and overall wellbeing.
Over the course, you will gradually learn and build confidence in the full sequence step by step, allowing the movements to feel natural, relaxed and embodied over time.
This course is ideal for complete beginners, those returning to movement after time away, or anyone curious about Tai Chi who would enjoy a shorter and more approachable course before committing to longer-term study.
Music is gently woven into the sessions to support rhythm, timing and flow, and participants will receive training notes and the music used during class to support practice at home.

Course Fee
£100 for the full 12-week programme.
This includes all classes, revision sessions and supporting course materials.
Course Schedule
Wednesdays | 9am–10am
The two revision sessions will be woven throughout the programme at suitable points to support the pace and progress of the group.
After Class at the Café
Participants are warmly invited to stay after class and enjoy breakfast in the Ash Farm Café.
