Spend a relaxing summer day in the bright Ash Farm studio learning the traditional craft of willow weaving with local basketmaker Justine Burgess of West Wales Willows.

Over the course of the day, you’ll create your own beautiful garden trug using a selection of naturally colourful willow grown by Justine on her West Wales smallholding. Practical, sturdy and full of character, these traditional baskets are perfect for harvesting vegetables from the garden, collecting blackberries on countryside walks, displaying flowers, or simply enjoying as a handcrafted piece in your home.

With a small group of just eight participants, this workshop offers plenty of individual guidance and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re completely new to willow weaving or have tried it before, Justine will guide you through each stage of the process, helping you create a unique basket to take home and enjoy for years to come.
