Learn to Knit Continental – Cowl with Aleks Byrd

Whether you are brand-new to hand knitting, a bit rusty, or looking to expand your skills and increase your speed by learning the continental knitting technique, this course is an ideal opportunity to learn the basics of continental knitting in a relaxed and supportive environment. You will learn the two fundamental stitches, knit and purl, and practise these by exploring different stitch patterns and colour changing, to knit a stitch sampler cowl that you will be proud to wear.

You will be provided with 3 mini skeins of John Arbon Knit By Numbers DK yarn, needles and a project bag.

No prior experience is necessary for this workshop.

Aleks Byrd is a knitwear designer and illustrator with a love of colour and pattern. Drawing inspiration from her Estonian heritage and love of Nordic style, Aleks has united her passions for knitting and illustration to create her first knitting book, “Color and Knit Mittens.” She has also published patterns online.
