The Experience
Join us for a relaxed and informative evening exploring some of the everyday habits that can help us stay strong, active and well for years to come.
Led by registered nutritionist Ellen Picton of HealthAspire, this practical and inspiring evening will look beyond diets and food fads, focusing instead on the foundations of lifelong wellbeing. From protein and bone health to energy, movement and simple daily habits, you’ll leave with practical knowledge you can put into action straight away.
Alongside Ellen’s talk, we’re delighted to welcome Ash Farm yoga teacher Hilary Westlake. Having discovered yoga at the age of 69, Hilary will share some of the simple practices she believes have helped her remain active, mobile and connected to her wellbeing over the years.
The Evening
4:45pm: Arrival & welcome
A warm herbal tea or coffee on arrival as you settle into the space.
5:00–6:30pm: Food for Life with Ellen of HealthAspire 
A relaxed and practical session exploring some of the key factors that support long-term health and wellbeing, including:
* Protein and maintaining muscle strength
* Bone health and reducing osteoporosis risk (Calcium, magnesium rich foods)
* Blood sugar balance and energy (diabetes)
* Inflammation and healthy ageing (RA, arthritis)
* Eating for a long and healthy life
6:30–6:50pm: The Little Things Matter with Hilary Westlake
A gentle and uplifting session exploring the small daily practices that can support wellbeing as we move through life.
Hilary will share her personal story of discovering yoga later in life, followed by a short seated movement and breathing practice designed to help participants reconnect with their bodies and leave feeling calmer, lighter and refreshed.
6:50–7:30pm: Supper
A homemade seasonal meal prepared by Ash Farm.
7:30–8pm: Dessert Demonstration & Q&A
Ellen will finish the evening with a live demonstration of a simple, nourishing dessert which guests can enjoy as their dessert.
8pm-8.30pm – Meet & Chat
An opportunity to chat and ask questions and connect with Hilary before the event concludes at 8.30pm
